Afonchies Pharmaceutical Limited began its journey in 2004, founded with a vision to meet the pharmaceutical needs of Nigeria’s largest commercial hub—Lagos State. From our humble beginnings as a single community pharmacy, we have grown steadily and purposefully, driven by a commitment to excellence and a passion for serving our community.

Over the years, our dedication has transformed Afonchies Pharmacy into a trusted name in healthcare, expanding from one outlet to an impressive network of eighteen branches across the upscale neighbourhoods of Lekki-Ajah on Lagos Island. Our growth reflects not just our ambition, but also the trust and loyalty of the communities we serve

Despite this remarkable progress, our management team remains focused on the future. We are actively developing strategies to further expand our reach, aiming to establish more community pharmacies throughout Lagos State. Adebayo Oyeyemi Afon

Founder, Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer

Adebayo Afon is a distinguished pharmacist and accomplished entrepreneur with over two decades of experience in the Nigerian pharmaceutical sector. A graduate of the University of Benin, Nigeria, he is the founder and CEO of Afonchies Pharmaceuticals Ltd, Established in 2004, a thriving community pharmacy chain with over 18 branches across Lagos. He is also the founder and Managing Director of Safco Mega Solutions Ltd, a leading wholesale and pharmaceutical distribution company.

Adebayo is an astute professional and skilled negotiator, renowned for his industry-wide expertise in pharmaceutical wholesales, distribution, and community pharmacy operations. His visionary leadership has driven significant business growth, operational excellence, and the establishment of strategic partnerships with key stakeholders across the healthcare value chain.

He is a founding member and serves on the Board of Trustees of the Pharmaceutical Wholesalers and Distributors Association of Nigeria (PWDAN). In addition, he has held several leadership positions within the various professional associations to which he belongs, including the Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria (PSN), Pharmacists Council of Nigeria (PCN), Association of Community Pharmacists of Nigeria (ACPN), African Pharmaceutical Distributors Association (APDA), and the International Pharmaceutical Federation (FIP).

Adebayo’s unwavering dedication to quality healthcare delivery and his innovative approach to business have made him a respected leader and influencer in Nigeria’s pharmaceutical industry.
