Adebayo Afon is a distinguished pharmacist and accomplished entrepreneur with over two decades of experience in the Nigerian pharmaceutical sector. A graduate of the University of Benin, Nigeria, he is the founder and CEO of Afonchies Pharmaceuticals Ltd, Established in 2004, a thriving community pharmacy chain with over 18 branches across Lagos. He is also the founder and Managing Director of Safco Mega Solutions Ltd, a leading wholesale and pharmaceutical distribution company.
Adebayo is an astute professional and skilled negotiator, renowned for his industry-wide expertise in pharmaceutical wholesales, distribution, and community pharmacy operations. His visionary leadership has driven significant business growth, operational excellence, and the establishment of strategic partnerships with key stakeholders across the healthcare value chain.
He is a founding member and serves on the Board of Trustees of the Pharmaceutical Wholesalers and Distributors Association of Nigeria (PWDAN). In addition, he has held several leadership positions within the various professional associations to which he belongs, including the Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria (PSN), Pharmacists Council of Nigeria (PCN), Association of Community Pharmacists of Nigeria (ACPN), African Pharmaceutical Distributors Association (APDA), and the International Pharmaceutical Federation (FIP).
